First steps for the launch into the United States in 2009


Blusens opens a new subsidiary in Uruguay for the Southern Cone and begins the marketing of its new catalog in Mexico and Costa Rica.


Blusens South America will be based in Montevideo and will manage all operations for Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, and Paraguay from this office.

This subsidiary encompasses Blusens Corporation’s objective to convert itself into a global brand and be present in more than 50 countries by the end of this year 2008.


The company expects to reach triple digit growth by the year 2010.

Madrid, Spain, June 30, 2008- Blusens Corporation, a Spanish multinational pioneer in technology, announces the implementation of Blusens South America today, a new subsidiary from which they will conduct all company business in the Southern Cone of the American continent: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, and Paraguay.  Blusens South America will market its entire product catalog to this region.

The formation of this subsidiary, with headquarters in the Zonamerica Business and Technology Park of Montevideo, reaffirms the international character of Blusens Corporation, recently created on the basis of the merger between the matrix Blusens Technology and its subsidiaries Blusens Middle East and Blusens China, with an aim to be commercially present in more than 50 countries by the end of this year.

 

The staff of Blusens Sudamérica is managed by Juan Tojo, Blusens’ International Business Development Director, and formed by highly qualified professionals with multinational experience especially in the Mercosur area, such as Diego Antelo, responsible of Management and Finance, Malcom Alexander, Business Development, and Andrés Frontini, Marketing and Communication.

 

Additionally, Blusens has signed an agreement with the local agency FIRA COMUNICACIÓN, for the active collaboration with the branch in the development and execution of the Marcomm activities in the region.



“The Latin American market is a market of fulfilling growth and will be a significant pillar for our plans for expansion,” explains Miguel Silva, Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Global Operations for Blusens. “It serves as a new stride to convert ourselves into a truly global brand, a new chapter that will culminate with our entrance into the United States in the next year.”


Moreover, Blusens anticipates the immediate implementation of the brand in Mexico and Costa Rica, counting on local agreements with principal distribution networks, that will already make it possible to obtain the latest generation Blusens devices in this region starting in July, of which will include the roll-out of a Home Entertainment Device, a next generation product that specifically translates Internet content and services to television.  The company expects to achieve triple digit growth by 2010.
  
Since its establishment in 2002, Blusens has boasted exponential growth which has enabled it to triple its turnover annually, with a business line based on technological innovation, proximity to the market, and design.

The company allocates up to 10% of its annual turnover for R & D, designing its innovative products in Spain from the head office in Santiago de Compostela.
