REDDING BACK TO THE TOP 10 IN GERMANY

Laverty has been able also to finish into the points

The German GP has finished today with the eight position of Scott Redding as the better result of the Blusens Aprilia team. The British rider has started today from a delayed 16th place and has been able to ride very concentrated during all the race to finish again in the Top 10. With the eight points scored today, he gets already 65 points and now stays in the tenth position of the World Championship. His teammate Efrén Vázquez has finished today very close to the points, in 16th position. After the hard crash suffered this morning during the Warm Up, his bike’s setup has not been good enough for the race and in the end he didn’t score any point.

In the 250cc class, Eugene Laverty (15th) has made again a good job and has scored a new point for the Championship. Anyway this has not been enough for the Irish rider considering the brilliant first part of the race he has made. With the rain falling on the track, he has started very strong, almost fighting near the tenth position, with bikes very superior than his bike. At the end, due to some problems with the front end, he has lost some positions. Worst has been for Russell Gómez, who once again has suffered a crash without finishing the first lap of the race. The rider from Barcelona has managed to push hard from the beginning not to lose the front riders and due to this he has fallen down.

Scott Redding (125cc – 8th - 40’34”488 - 1’28”667) The British rider has finished the race happy for the work done: “I’ve started the race very delayed and that’s why I fell happier with today’s result. Also because I return to the Top 10 of the World Championship with the points scored today. The race has been very hard because of the rain fallen during all of it and this have made me ride very concentrated all the time. Anytime I was trying to push hard but not forgetting the risk for the rain. If I have been able to start better in the grid, I’m sure I would have finished ahead”.

Efrén Vázquez (125cc – 16th - 40’38”264 - 1’29”178) “After the hard crash suffered at the end of the Warm Up, my mechanics have managed to finish the bike for the race but with not the best setup. The gearbox setting wasn’t so good and we have had also some problems with the tyres. That’s why I think that in this situation it has been enough to finish the race and fighting for the points until the end. Let’s see if we have more luck in the second part of the Championship”.

Eugene Laverty (250cc – 15th - 46’50”559 - 1’35”414) “To score points is always important for us because is our objective for each race, but today I’m disappointed because I’ve been fighting during the race for the eleventh position. I’ve started very strong and I’ve managed to overtake riders with better bikes than mine. At the end I’ve had problems again with the front end and I’ve ride very uncomfortable, losing some positions”.

Russell Gómez (250cc – crash) Once again, Gómez has finished the weekend very disappointed. “I’m so sad. It’s clear that this is not my year. This race was a very good opportunity for us. The special Sachsenring track with the rain fallen made smaller the mechanicals differences on the bikes. I’ve made a good start but I’ve crashed in the first lap when I was trying to push hard not to lose the group of riders in front of me, who finally have fought for the points”.
