Society debut for Blusens BQR

Madrid, 18 April 2007. - The Blusens BQR Team (which is competing as Blusens Aprilia, 125 and 250 cc. Categories in the MotoGP World Championship) chose Thursday 12 April in the Pachá Nightclub in Barcelona to hold the Catalan motorbike racing team‘s official presentation - first to the press and then, in an evening event, to the sponsors, friends and associates. Both events were presented by Ángel Nieto and the actor Pepón Nieto (Los Hombres de Paco); the second was also compered by Natalia Zabala (Miss Spain 2007) and Luis Muñoz (Mr Spain 2007). These two events saw the presentation of the 18 riders who are to contest the different Championships (Spanish and World Championships) in which the team from Cardedeu, and managed by Raúl Romero and Josep Oliva, will participate.

In both presentations, José Ramón García, Chairman and CEO of Blusens, spoke of the company’s enthusiasm in signing this sponsorship deal, stressing its importance as a way of reaching the young, dynamic motorbike-racing public, and as another way of ensuring that the company keeps growing. Raúl Romero, owner of BQR, gave his thanks for the tremendous work carried out to date by both the workers of the team and the sponsors. Romero also unveiled the blueprint for a new structure designed this year in BQR with the aim of bringing through promising new riders under the tutelage of Ricard Jové and Toni Alfosea.

Riders

In the Catalan Speed Championship (CCV) Blusens BQR will have four riders in the PreGP 125 Category - Maverick Viñales, Pau Tortosa, Juan Ramírez and Michele Piccari; three in SSP - Dani Rivas, Franki Plana and Álex Ferrer; and one in Extreme - Jordi Carchano.

In the Spanish Speed Championship (SSC) the Catalan team will have two riders in 125GP - Scott Redding and Stefan Bradl; three in SSP - Russell Gómez, Dani Rivas and Eloy Fernández; and three in Extreme - David de Gea (current champion), Josep Sardà and Jordi Carchano.

In the MotoGP Championship, the Catalan team will ride in the 125 cc Category. with Pablo Nieto and Hugo Van Den Berg (the only rider absent at the presentation, due to a family problem) and in the 250 cc Category with Aleix Espargaró and Arturo Tizón.
